• Understand policies related to metadata applications;
  
• Critically examine the scopes of generic and domain-specific metadataschemas for organizing OA resources;
  
• Explain the roles of models, crosswalks and interoperability standards inmetadata applications including the scope of emerging initiatives in OAmetadata landscape; and
  
• Explore the software-level application of metadata in organizing OAresources.
